Our Parent Education Hummingbird Program is designed to create a nourishing environment for both children and their families.  Nature provides a peaceful and calm place for children and builds a joyful relationship to the outdoors. Our mud kitchen area gives toddlers a chance to invent, mix, pour and create together.  Opportunities for community music, exploration with natural materials, stories and introduction to different art materials are also part of our morning.  Families provide a light snack and water bottle for their children.

Our facilitated discussions provide opportunities for families to share and discuss current parenting challenges, offer inspiration, tools and support with parenting. Often these occur during snack time or informally with individual families. We hope this gives everyone a chance to build relationships and develop our community.  We will also begin a warm introduction to forest and nature-based education.
